Welcome, Fiddy-Bookers!
The blog has arrived, and it only took a little bit of internet wrestling for me to figure it out. So there. I must admit, though, that as a newcomer to the world of blogging this is a little overwhelming. At least I have a year of posting book reviews to get just-regular-whelmed.
With nine days remaining until our Fifty Book Challenge actually begins, I'm moving forward with Reggie's suggestion to start with a post of 10 books that I love, in the event that you find yourself strapped for ideas. Without further ado, and in no particular order, I bring you Ten Books Worth Reading.
The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer
In the Time of the Butterflies by Julia Alvarez
The Phantom Tollbooth by Norman Juster
Under the Banner of Heaven by John Krakauer
Into Thin Air by John Krakauer
As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner
Passing by Nella Larsen
Assassination Vacation by Sarah Vowell
Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie
See you November 1st!
